For the first time in 2023, the Tiemann Prize will be dedicated to promoting artists who create outstanding work in the field of painting. It is the first prize of this size in Germany to support museums and art institutions in the acquisition of contemporary painting. The prizewinners are selected by internationally renowned experts.
